The DRILLNOVA Fluted Reamer uses a tapered full-body profile, helical spoil channels and carbide cutters to enlarge HDD bores while mixing and transporting excavated material. It is configured for clay, loamy soil, compacted ground and fine gravel where continuous spoil movement and diameter control are required.
The DRILLNOVA Fluted Reamer combines cutting, mixing and spoil transport in one tapered body. Helical channels provide a continuous path around the tool, while balanced carbide cutters enlarge the bore progressively. The design is suited to cohesive soils and fine-gravel formations with adequate drilling-fluid circulation and spoil return.
Review ground gradation, packing tendency, pilot-bore geometry, expected spoil volume, drilling-fluid capacity and return path before confirming the tool. Large cobbles, competent hard rock or restricted spoil return normally require a different reamer type or a revised pass plan.
Review standard Diamond Compact PDC Bit configurations below. Final dimensions and connections are confirmed during application review.
Confirm connection, cutting direction, pass diameter, make-up procedure and clear flow paths before operation.
Inspect cutters, flute edges, fluid ports, welds, body profile and connection after every reaming run.
Protect cutters and connections from impact, clean blocked ports, preserve exposed steel and support the tool securely.

VIEW PRODUCTA fluted reamer enlarges an HDD pilot bore while its tapered body and helical channels support progressive cutting, soil mixing and spoil transport.
It is primarily intended for clay, loamy clay, compacted soil, hardpan and fine gravel. Ground containing large cobbles or competent hard rock requires a different cutting system or engineering review.
The catalogue range is 8-40 in / approximately 200-1,000 mm. Larger custom diameters can be reviewed against the formation, bore plan and rig capacity.
A fluted reamer uses a more continuous full-body profile and helical spoil channels. A paddle reamer has a more open structure. Selection depends on ground behaviour, spoil return, diameter control and the planned pass sequence.
Yes. Forward- or reverse-cutting layouts can be supplied, but the operating direction must be confirmed before the cutter orientation and drawing are finalized.
Provide the exact drill-string connection, pin or box orientation, reference standard and mating-tool details. DRILLNOVA will confirm the connection on the approved drawing.
The helical channels need sufficient flow and a usable return path to transport loosened material. Inadequate return can increase packing, torque and the risk of the tool becoming restricted in the bore.
Inspect cutter wear or loss, cracked or damaged weld areas, worn flute edges, blocked fluid ports, body deformation and connection damage. Remove any questionable tool from service for qualified evaluation.
Yes. Diameter, flute geometry, cutter number and placement, fluid ports, cutting direction, connection and wear protection can be reviewed for the application.
Share the target diameter, pilot-bore size, soil description, rig model, drill-string connection, drilling-fluid capacity and planned pass sequence. DRILLNOVA will review the application and confirm the recommended configuration.
