Engineered for efficient HDD bore enlargement in medium-hard rock and compatible mixed formations, the DRILLNOVA Bolt-On PDC Reamer combines a robust steel body with replaceable cutter arms. Its modular construction simplifies cutting-structure service while an application-specific PDC layout supports stable torque, effective cuttings removal and consistent bore geometry.
The DRILLNOVA Bolt-On PDC Reamer is a modular fixed-cutter hole-opening tool developed for horizontal directional drilling. Replaceable cutter arms mount securely to the reusable steel body, allowing worn cutting structures to be serviced independently instead of replacing the complete tool.
Final dimensions, cutter layout, blade retention, hydraulics and connection details are confirmed after review of the pilot-hole diameter, target bore size, formation, bore plan and drill-rig capacity.

VIEW PRODUCTIt is used to enlarge a pilot bore during horizontal directional drilling. Its PDC-equipped cutter arms remove suitable rock formations while the reamer body transfers torque and pullback or thrust through the drill string.
The modular design allows individual cutter arms to be inspected, repaired or replaced separately. This can reduce maintenance time and avoid replacing a serviceable reamer body when only the cutting structure is worn.
The tool is intended for medium-hard rock and compatible mixed formations where a stable shearing action is achievable. Formation strength alone is not sufficient for selection; abrasiveness, fracture condition, cobbles and impact risk must also be reviewed.
Selected body and blade combinations may support more than one cutting diameter, but interchangeability is design-specific. Use only cutter arms listed on the approved drawing for that exact body and serial configuration.
Yes. Diameter, blade count, cutter layout, connection, hydraulics and wear protection can be reviewed for customization. Production should begin only after the project drawing is approved.
Push, pull or bidirectional use may be available depending on the body, cutting profile and connection arrangement. Confirm the permitted operating direction before use.
Provide the formation or geotechnical report, pilot-hole diameter, target bore diameter, bore length, drill-rig model, available torque and pullback, flow capacity, drill-string connection and planned reaming direction.
Follow the approved service procedure. Clean and inspect all mating surfaces, use the specified fasteners and tightening method, and verify that every arm is fully seated and securely retained before operation.
Check the PDC cutters, carbide protection, cutter arms, mounting faces, retaining bolts, gauge diameter, nozzles or fluid ports, body condition and threaded connections. Remove the tool from service if cracks, looseness or abnormal wear are found.
